Bullyhill Vineyards

Hammondsport, New York

We worked closely with Bully Hill Vineyards on this two phase project to create open-air spaces that would allow patrons to enjoy stunning views of Keuka Lake along with great wine and food. Raising and construction was completed during the winter months while the business was mostly closed down, and finished for the grand re-opening in May.

Phase one of the redesign called for replacing an existing, dilapidated, deck with a new covered pavilion. The space needed to elevate guests’ experience, but since weather is always a wild card, it had to be capable of holding events in less-than-ideal conditions.

Phase two of the project included a remodeled entryway with peeled posts and stone walkway, as well as a timber frame dining room and second pavilion. The dining room and pavilion are connected by floor-to-ceiling windows and doors allowing both natural light and lake views to reach all areas. In the lower level dining room our fine woodworking group used reclaimed wood materials including antique wine vats sourced by Pioneer Millworks to create an old wine cellar feel.
